TRAINING ROPE ACCESS
The industry standard for attaining and maintaining competency in industrial rope access techniques is based on a progressive system of training, education and experience.
Entry into the rope access industry is through the successful completion of a level 1 training program. The program consists of 4 days of training followed by a 1 day assessment. An independent ARAA Assessor is engaged for rope access assessments.
Progression in the industry is as follows.
Level 2 Certification
- Successful completion of a level 2 training program
- Current certification in Apply First Aid HLTFA301B (or equivalent)
- Recorded evidence of at least 500 hours rope access experience as a level 1
Level 3 Certification
- Successful completion of a level 3 training program
- Current certification in Apply First Aid HLTFA301B (or equivalent)
- Recorded evidence of at least 500 hours rope access experience as a level 2
